Description

The MVCTC Heavy Equipment Operator program is designed for students to learn not only machine operations, but all aspects of the heavy equipment field. Students study safety in the Heavy Equipment and Construction field, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA )10 hour safety course, blue print reading, grade stake reading, surveying & land layout, basic welding & metal fabricating, commercial driver's license (CDL) preparation and preventive maintenance of equipment. Students completing this program should be well rounded to start a career as a Heavy Equipment Operator
