Salman Khan - Use Video to Reinvent Education -YouTube-TedTalks
Salman Khan began by creating screencasts for tutoring young family members who were struggling with certain concepts in school. He is the founder of Khan Academy, a not-for-profit resource sponsored by the Gates Foundation, housing a collection of instructional videos on a variety of concepts. This TEDTalks video describes Khan's vision of education utilizing a "flipped" classroom where students watch lecture videos as homework and teachers facilitate learning during class time by assisting students through the assignments. Assignments are mostly graded by the interactive Learning Management System that Khan Academy employs.
