Description

Students will build upon their knowledge to explore uses for science in the Biotechnology program by performing experiments in agriculture, medicine, genetics, and many other areas. The primary goal of the program is to introduce students to the research laboratory environment. Senior students will participate in independent research projects. Introductory laboratory skills will be taught and can be applied to the many areas of biotechnology. Working in the biotechnology career field requires at least a two-year degree. Biotechnology will also prepare you for science classes at the college level.
