Early Childhood Education
Students in the Early Childhood Education program learn about children from birth to school age. In this program, students develop lesson plans and incorporate these for the MVCTC Preschool and field sites. They will gain an understanding of how children develop and how to incorporate the Ohio Department of Education preschool standards into their curriculum. This program will give the students the knowledge and foundation to become teachers in the Early Childhood field.

Medical Lab Assisting
The Medical Lab Assisting program content focuses on the laboratory services provided in the health care industry. Students interested in working in healthcare, but not necessarily with direct patient care, would be ideal candidates. The program is aligned with Sinclair Community College Medical Lab Assisting and students can earn one-year certificates for Clinical Lab Assisting and Clinical Phlebotomy. Students that earn the Phlebotomy certificate from Sinclair will be prepared to take the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Phlebotomy Technician test. Alumni may also choose to take the American Medical Technologists certification test. Students gain knowledge and practical experience necessary to be employed in a laboratory setting or continue their education in a healthcare-related field.

Sports Medicine
The Sports Medicine program prepares students for numerous career opportunities in the fields of Sports Medicine and Exercise Science. Upon completing the program, students are encouraged to continue their education towards an Associate’s Degree Program in Sports Medicine or a Bachelor’s Degree Program at a four-year institution. Students are taught a wide variety of topics, participate in hands-on labs, enter science fairs, learn to use various exercise and testing equipment, learn athletic training modalities, and go “Above and Beyond” in all they do.

Robotics & Automation
In the Robotics and Automation program, students will be introduced to many aspects of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM). Study robotic applications in manufacturing, material handling, welding, computer numeric control (CNC) programming, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), SolidWorks design software, data acquisition and analysis, and work cell development. Compete in SkillsUSA contests for Urban Search & Rescue, Additive Manufacturing, and Automated Manufacturing.
